On Sunday we drove to Western PA for my Grandma’s funeral.  It was a really joyful time with family!  All four of us “Watt kids” were able to be there!  Below is a family picture (minus Issac who somehow got missed in action).  I love that we were able to see all but one of our 14 cousins AND all of THEIR kids.  It was a huge party, and it was a gorgeous day.  I still don’t have a camera, so I’m pirating this photo, compliments of my sister, Sherry.

Sunday night we all stayed a a Quality Inn.  Every hotel was booked and this one actually had four rooms available that night.  So, each of our families of 6 squished into a room with two double beds.  Highlights include: the tilting upper story deck, the shower faucet coming completely out of the wall, the carpets speckled with someone else’s dirt, and the fitness center complete with two treadmills!

On Monday after the funeral we all went to a community pool with two water-slides and let the kids run free!    They had a blast!  None of us brought towels from home, so we made do.  Then we drove off to Breezewood where we overwhelmed the waitress of the Gateway Restaurant with 24 orders… 16 of them being children’s orders.  It worked out well, though, and as always it was hard to say goodbye at the end.  It is a good problem to have, as it just means how special your family is!!!

  1. >I have driven past Gateway countless times and never stopped. Through we do say we want to try the Denny's sometime. I'm so glad the pool worked out for you all.
